Break up the Battle Pass in two, with different rewards for "players" and "painters"#939

So far it looks like there are two categories of players: those who mostly play the game, and those who mostly paint minis. For the “players”, many of the Battle Pass rewards are not interesting (paints, decals, etc.). And for the “painters”, unlocking what they want takes way too long because they don’t play as much, and they don’t feel any motivation playing the game to earn nothing.

I would imagine separating the Battle Pass in two, and letting us choose which one we want to progress into:

  • a “player” Battle Pass containing boosters, profile pics, pre-made paintjobs, etc.
  • a “painter” Battle Pass containing palettes, decals, new models, etc.

We could decide to assign our xp to one Pass, and switch between both at any time, depending on what we need/want. That would speed up progression AND give each type of player what they like :)

ERRATUM: by “Battle Pass” I meant “Season Track” of course, the two mean the same thing to me.

Interesting idea. I’ve heard Deep Rock Galactic does something a bit similar where you can guide how you unlock.

Thank you for considering it :)

Deep Rock Galactic has a Season Track which contains mostly in-game currency, as well as “tokens”. You can then spend these tokens on a reward tree, so you can choose which branch you’d like to progress depending on the rewards you’re interested in. Neat system!
