A local two player mode would pretty much make this my go to “tabletop” game. Every time I fire it up my wife comments how she would love to play with me. We make due by switching off turns in matches but its just not quite the same. The best part of playing tabletop is watching your friends faces as you destroy them. It would also be a great way for people to introduce the game to friends.
I say take this one step further and add a two player mode, two captains, possibly with reduced health or roster size but would be very fun to play with a teammate.
Adding my voice here. I’m not keen on playing with random people (though it can be fun), but I would LOVE to be able to play this with my son. I certainly don’t want to imply the solution here is “simple”, but it is a solved problem. “Ascension”, for example, on iOS, handles this brilliantly; players simply “don’t look” when it’s not their turn, and then when it is their turn, the opponent’s turn is replayed for them to see.
This is really necessary. It can even let me deduce some tactics
Just bought your game on steam, played it for 100+ minutes and having a hot seat feature to play the game is a make or break decision for me… Will be looking for any (future) confirmation of this feature online for the next days before returning.
