Movement clarity for pathing and inadverntly pinning models in place#345

In multiple situations now I have inadvently locked a character in to where they cannot move. In the attached screenshot, my middle character could not move down, where there is clearly lane to do so.

In another game, my character could not move sideways after moving the blocking ally out of his way, due to the fact that there was a character below him (so in essence blocking all of his sideways movement due to pinning him between an ally and a terrain piece.

I understand the original poster’s frustration, but I love body blocking enemy units, (and also get frustrated when I fail to properly contain) maybe when plotting a movement with hold right click, little directional path arrows from nearby units could appear/disappear when a lane between two solid objects is available/blocked

Blocking is a big part of the game of course, but there are definitely some situations (like in this screenshot) where it seems like you should be able to move away. I think we just need a little more tolerance for those very close situations.

Snareling should definitively be able to move upwards here, clearly enough space northward to move, I don’t know if this is caused by a collision box bug, or if it is movement blocking being too restricting

Two more examples, the last one is someone that intentionally knew how to misuse it

its not only that you can get stuck it seems.
its also about how much room do you have.

if you have a unit close to a wall and you want to pass between the wall and said unit you litterly cannot know and need to eyeball it everytime and very often its just that tiny amount of space youre missing and be unable to pass.
