Hello!
I find that I spend a lot of time clicking around the screen unnecessarily, adjusting opacity/size and selecting the correct brush. To that end, I spent some time looking at the painting controls customization, and there are quite a few gaps in control customization.
1.
Brush size can only be set to a single-key input. (I have E for up and Q for down)
I would like to remap opacity to R/F for increase/decrease, but the game will only accept 2-stroke bindings, so I have to settle for SHIFT-E and SHIFT-E for opacity control. Small, but it’s annoying to have to 2-stroke input, especially when I have to spam the combination to move the meter up/down the bar.
It would be really nice to bind keys (1-5 come to mind) to the different brushes, or give the players “cycle next/previous brush” buttons that would serve the same function (mouse thumb buttons?)
I’d write more, but I want to get back to painting!
Cheers,
KG
I would suggest allowing resizing and opacity to be bound to mouse wheel+ctrl, alt or shift, which would massively reduce the need for spam clicking/pressing.
Imagine, hold ctrl and your mouse wheel controls size. Hold alt and your mouse wheel controls opacity.
