I really wish you were able to type messages to your opponent instead of only being able to use a handful of emotes for communication. I know it’s becoming increasingly rare for new games to let players communicate directly, and that makes me genuinely sad. I have fond memories of meeting people and having laughs with strangers in online games, and it’s so frustrating that recent PvP games refuse to allow any in-game social aspect. It would be nice to compliment opponents on their paintjobs, console them for really unfortunate misses, or even just say GG after a game.

The only possible reason I can think of to forego text chat would be worries about moderation, but this game seems like it has a really positive community. If someone really wanted to be toxic, they could just make a vulgar paintjob. You already have a reporting system for that eventuality anyway, so I can’t understand why you don’t allow chat.
