The battle pass is it currently sits is HIGHLY unproductive for the longevity of the game, the XP given per round is not based upon playtime but merely showing up and then you get more for winning, Ive done the math and the fastest way to grind the battle pass is to get into a game play out 1 round then wait for 1 more action to occour and concede thus giving you the xp for playing then immediately queing again , this takes aprox 2 min to do and gets 50 XP however if you build an unbeatable aggro rush down setup and win EVERY game in 15 min you get 150 XP in 15 min (this is ofc impossible and any losses simply mean wasted time but even this outcome with perfect wins is still inferior) I can grind around 350 XP in the same timeframe for simply showing up and conceding, this system will be the default for those trying to grind the pass for specific rewards, and a similar system used by TFT in its battle pass had 1 in 8 players in the lobby more or less ding that exact thing, given a near 15% usage rate on this strategy in another game using the XP system is bad for the matchmaking quality for the game rewarding gaming the system rather than actualy playing the game ant interacting with the games mechanics, I grinded 40% of the battle pass in aprox 6 hours by showing up and conceding every single match (the battle pass also has an INSANE XP requirement as you progress making rewards fewer and further between and makingit less incentivized to complete it) I recomend changing the rules and requirements used for getting XP to help encourage actual gameplay rather than showing up and quiting being the optimal strategy
Our XP speed is too slow, but I’m not sure about the concession side of things. We sped it up but it didn’t quite make it into the patch for Beasts & Blooms. Look for a speedup in our next one (August).
