Color Picker for painting units#1170

It would be nice to have a color picker (similar to the one provided for picking a color for your roster banner) when painting a unit. Mixing colors on the mixing palette interface is fine but sometimes a bit slow and imprecise if I want to get the right tone.

I don’t know if this was added after this was posted or not, but as of at least today this is in the game, hold Alt and click your model where you want to copy the paint from, or press the dropper on the right side of the screen to switch to the tool itself.

I think you are referring to the eyedropper tool, is that right? I was thinking more about a tool which resembles one of those online color picker tools with HEX and/or RGB Codes, where they let you pick a color from inside the picker area.

Ooh yeah I see whatcha mean. With how color palettes come with other information than just the color, I don’t think that will be doable, and if it is, adding it sort of up-ends the work theyve done on the mixing panel, it’ll only be useful in niche situations, if you can just change the color on your brush by punching in a hex code rather than mixing it by hand.
