
Improving the replayability of the single player game modes would go a long way to creating more engagement with the game. An idea is to enhance the Cargo Run style game mode to be more like Monster Train where you can upgrade Captains and Crew between missions.
With a branching mission flow and a couple of “boss” fights at each level, this could create a highly replayable fun game mode using the existing mechanics.
The in game mechanics can stay the same requiring minimal divergence from the core game.
A simple proof of concept could be put together just by making a change so the cargo crates are collected during a game, but only allocated and spent in the between game screen with a very basic UI to begin wiht. It would be a good way of making use of all the roster crates that normally can’t be picked up during a mission because you are full.
This simple change would be interesting, but ideally would be combined with a more challenges such as 10 moons instead of 5 and with a win count tracker and some streak metrics per hero.
