New Roster Creation Interface Should be reverted or Improved#1138

D

The new roster creation/management interface implemented during the Beasts and Blooms patch feels like a major step backwards.

A.To see detailed unit information during roster creation you are now required to do the following:

1.Select the unit so that it has a checkmark

2.Hit the confirm button

3.Click on the newly added unit

4.Click on the magnifying glass icon.

5.Once done looking at the detailed information, click off to the side of the unit information screen to close the screen

6.Click the Edit Units button

7.Uncheck the unit you were looking up information for, assuming you don’t want to keep the unit in your roster

This process is extremely clunky to the point that it is an un-fun, perhaps even tedious, process to create a roster.

B.When looking at the units currently selected, on the “selected” tab, the large checkmarks make it somewhat diffuclt to view the units that have already been selected. I actually find myself mildly annoyed looking at the images with a big block obscuring the center of each card.
Why are the checkmarks even necessary? Isn’t it assumed that the units in the “selected” tab are selected? What makes even less sense is that, when you click the units to de-select them from the “selected” list, the square in the center of the card completely dissappears. Wouldn’t it make more sense if the units in the “selected” tab by default are un-obscured and, when the cards are clicked, the “X” , the one that currently appears when you hover over a currently selected unit in the “selected” tab, is displayed. This way you are only marking and obscuring the units you are actively interested in removing from the “selected” list.

C.You no longer have control over where/how units are displayed on the “character pieces” roster screen. Previously you could pick where you specifically wanted each unit to be displayed, now the interface automatically chooses where each unit is displayed using logic that isn’t immediately obvious to me. This is not only annoying because we lost the ability to display our teams in the way we prefer, but the innability to put larger units in the back and smaller units in the fronst makes it difficult to see all the units on your team whenever the “character pieces” interface is displayed.
